I was scanning through the prompts list and... well, not many I know of. Some prompts I’ve read on somewhere else so I stayed clear from those, some prompts I’m working on myself (like Final Fantasy X ._.) so I stayed clear from them too. This sounds like a fun prompt, and since I used to watch the Taiwan adaptation of the manga, I figured, why not?

I keep thinking that I haven’t done this prompt justice :( so apologies in advance, just in case it really does suck, but sincere wishes that you will like it >.>

And yes, I’m aware that the summary sounds cheesy as heck. I’m not good at writing summaries, so sue me >.>

Summary: Draco returns to Hogwarts wishing for a peaceful last year, determined to lay low and generally be invisible among the annoying, proud Light students who were getting on his nerves with their constant boasting and bragging. However, without him knowing, the school system had changed. He helped a fellow Slytherin who was bullied out and the next day a school owl came in carrying a blank piece of red paper for him; and suddenly he found himself at the bottom of the social status. However, he was not a Malfoy if he gave up just like that, and so he fought on, trying to bring an end to the stupid system; and while he’s at it, find his happy ending

Notes: I did it. I actually did it! Before I go about thanking everyone who made this possible, I would like to mention that this epic tale has survived twelve rewrites, a complete mental breakdown, a home move and a city wide internet blackout on the very last day. Against all odds, it happened and I can’t tell you what it means to me to see it up here.

Summary: It’s expensive being a Dark Lord. Nearly everything you do, or want to do, costs money. What better way to gather funds than to force donations? Voldemort kept accounts of his spending. Not quite patient enough for Goblins and gold and vaults, he instead used the Muggle alternative. It seemed to be all Muggles were good for, because it meant that Wizards, and the Ministry in particular, would not get their hands on it. Just in case, the Dark Lord destroyed all records of his accounting, using something that was better than a safe, better than books. Only, no one knows what it was and, after five years, the money’s become a myth. Now a secret sector of the Ministry is after it and only a member of their own can stop them.

Also, an enormous thank you to ashiiblack for this prompt! I was immediately intrigued by it—primarily because I initially couldn’t imagine how to reconcile the Brian and Justin characters with Harry and Draco in an EWE scenario, which of course meant I had to try to figure out how to do so. The preference for EWE over AU and the request (requirement, even) that one of them be an Auror shaped this fic the most. Because of those factors, this adaptation is a bit loose, though all of does have its roots in the plot and characters of QaF. I hope you like it!
